Planetary Poems
The ‘Planetary Poems’ exhibition and trail interpretations build upon the release of my series of planet poems in March 2023, called ‘The Planetary Ennead’ (see Books ). After piloting a QR code trail for the poems at Bath Fringe Festival in 2024, I received a commission from Pocklington Arts Centre to create a panel-based exhibition, with funding from East Riding Arts Development, which went on display in the summer of that year.
Are you interested in having the ‘Planetary Poems’ exhibition and/or trail at your venue?

The exhibition comprises ten A0 size foam boards, including an Introduction, and a separate panel for each poem, and associated planet image i.e. Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and the nostalgic addition of Pluto (de-classified as a planet in 2006). Each panel also contains a QR code linking to my audiovisual rendition of each planetary poem.
It has been exhibited at the Pocklington Arts Centre; Hull Minster, and City Screen York, while an audio trail has been created on the Echoes App and used at The Living Seas Centre, Flamborough, as part of Yorkshire Wildlife Trust’s stargazing evenings, held in association with Scarborough and Ryedale Astronomical Society. The digital video version of the interpretation has also been showcased at the East Riding Festival of Words and appeared at the inaugural Driffield Literature Festival.
